Wow! It is 2011.

Once again, my New Year’s resolution will be to blog more. I failed miserably once again in 2010. Let’s see if we can turn it around in 2010.

We had a wonderful Christmas Holiday.

The girls both had their Christmas parties at school on December 17th.  Addison had Santa Claus visit hers, which was very exciting. Santa even delivered a little gift to her. Lauren enjoyed ice cream sundaes and a puzzle exchange during her party. I was lucky enough to be able to attend both parties this year (which can be a challenge as a working mother).

On Christmas Eve, we spent the day doing last minute shopping and preparing for Christmas Day. My mom.dad and sister joined us that evening for the traditional reading of Twas the night before Christmas, sprinkling reindeer food for Santa’s crew on our lawn and leaving cookies and milk out for Santa.

Christmas Day began early in the Bower household. The girls woke up around 7:30 and were eager to see what Santa left for them. Lauren was surprised with a new bigger bike and an Ipod Touch and Addison received her first American Girl doll and a Leapfrog Explorer.

christmas day

I made Christmas lunch/dinner fixings while my mom brought a delicious Honey Baked Ham. I made Macaroni and Cheese, Cheesy Potato casserole, Mashed potatoes and Green Beans. For dessert we had bread pudding with wonderful maple whiskey sauce, apple pie, cheesecake and pecan pie. It was all super yummy.
